CEREMONIAL HEALING (RareNoise Records) by Marshall Allen, Danny Ray Thompson, Jamie Saft, Trevor Dunn, Balazs Pandi w/ Roswell Rudd

This recording brings together two core members of the Sun Ra Arkestra, its leader, saxophonist Marshall Allen as well as saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Danny Ray Thompson together with rising piano and keyboard stars Jamie Saft, bassist Trevor Dunn, drummer Balazs Pandi.

Recorded at the Potterville International Sound studio in NY State over three days in 2016, ‘Ceremonial Healing’ features the late Trombonist Roswell Rudd in one of his very last recorded appearances.

These recordings, a psychedelic three day free improvisation are tribute to the boundless power and legacy of the Sun Ra Arkestra and of Roswell Rudd achieved through the lens of an intergenerational collective improvisation and skill transfer to a new generation of visionary music shapers, pianist and keyboard player Jamie Saft, bassist Trevor Dunn and percussionist Balazs Pandi.

This album will be released as TRIPLE Colored VINYL in a specially conceived E-flute Pack.
